Roasting carrots brings out their nutty, sweet, caramelized flavor. They’re great as a healthy snack or a side dish.

Making roasted carrots couldn’t be easier. Here’s how:

  1. Slice carrots into bite-size pieces.
  2. Place carrots on a baking sheet which is lined with parchment paper.
  3. Drizzle carrots with a small amount of olive oil, then toss to coat the carrots.
  4. Cook the carrots in a 450-degree oven for about 35 minutes, or until tender.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
